Adobe Road 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley

Concentrated aromas of licorice and chocolate meld with tobacco, black cherry and blackberry flavors with hints of olive. This opulent and darkly hued wine is wrapped around toasted hazelnut and vanilla, which lingers on the palate to create a long and smooth finish with polished tannins.

Harvest: October 1-2, 2000, Picked at 25.4 Brix, average
Barrel Aging: 30 months in 60% new French and American oak
Winemaking: Hand harvested, then gently crushed going into a six-week long maceration to extract the optimal flavors. Fermented in small open-top bins, which were punched down three times daily, then lightly basket press. Unfined and unfiltered.
