Top Vineyards in Sonoma and Napa Counties

Famighetti Vineyard

Appellation: Dry Creek Valley
Varietals: Zinfandel, Syrah, Grenache, Viognier

Perched atop one of the highest peaks in the Dry Creek Valley, Famighetti Vineyards is truly unique to the region. The vineyard's terraced terrain resembles Italy more than Northern California. The elevation and undulating slopes create unique microclimates and soil variations that make it possible for Famighetti Vineyards to grow the highest quality fruit from four varietals: Zinfandel, Syrah, Grenache and Viognier. It truly is a place that will take your breath away.

Bavarian Lion Vineyard

Appellation: Knights Valley
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon

Bavarian Lion Vineyard is a shining star of unheralded Knights Valley, situated in the saddle of the Vacas Mountain range between northern Napa Valley and Alexander Valley. Protected from Pacific Ocean influences more than other Sonoma County growing regions, its warmer climate, slightly higher elevation, and volcanic soils all combine to create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties. Owned by Pierre Ehret, the sprawling, 100% solar-powered ranch features a multitude of different elevations and exposures, allowing our winemaking team plenty of variety to choose the best blocks and assemble complex blends. A hidden gem of the wine world, we hope our efforts will continue to bring this vineyard more of the acclaim it absolutely deserves.

Bacigalupi Vineyard

Appellation: Russian River Valley
Varietals: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Petite Sirah

Since 1956, three generations of the Bacigalupi family have farmed their vineyards straddling Westside Road in the Russian River Valley. Pioneers in the region, they played a key role in putting the California wine industry on the map, selling Chardonnay to Chateau Montelena for the wine that triumphed over top-flight white Burgundy at the 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting. Also a perfect spot for Pinot Noir, the site benefits from cool air and fog channeled in from the Pacific, as well as the famously unique Goldridge loam soil – eroded volcanic material combined with sandstone and alluvial deposits. The Bacigalupis have certainly earned their reputation as one of the finest sources of grapes in Sonoma County, and we are honored to partner with them.

Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard

Appellation: Rutherford, Napa Valley
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the most famous plots of land in all of Napa, the Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is located on the valley floor in Rutherford between Conn Creek Road and Silverado Trail. Originally the third vineyard developed by Georges de Latour for his Beaulieu Vineyards in 1928, it has been farmed to the exacting standards of legendary grower Andy Beckstoffer since 1988. The well-draining, gravelly loam soils from the former creek bed combine with ideal sun exposure to yield wines with richness, fruit intensity and structure. This magical site has been producing world-renowned Cabernet Sauvignon for nearly 90 years, and we are proud to play a small role in carrying on that tradition.
