The Bacigalupi Family have been growing grapes in Sonoma County for over a half century, and no one does it better. Pinot Noir from their ranch is always characterized by its concentrated flavors and rich texture, especially evident in the picture perfect 2012 vintage. Fermented at cool temperatures in open top tanks and aged in neutral French oak barrels to retain freshness and elegance, this wine introduces itself with lifted aromas of rhubarb, raspberry preserves and sweet spice. The resoundingly full mid-palate shows classic Russian River notes of cola, wild strawberry and black plum, leading to echoes of ripe cranberry and pomegranate on the refined finish. Food-friendly and versatile, enjoy it with a wide variety of lean meats, such as poultry and game, over the next five to seven years.
