2018 Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard, Roberts Road
Tasting Notes
Dark red cherry color, the nose is crushed summer strawberries and spices, with forest floor nuances. The mouthfeel is creamy, with fresh rhubarb pie at the center of a refreshing acid frame. The finish is long and spicy, echoing the core fruit and dark earth.
Winemaking Notes
Roberts Road Vineyard is farmed by our incredible friends the Sangiacomo Family. Farming in and around Sonoma for generations, they know how to bring the best of the land into the grapes. We source multiple clones of Pinot Noir from them at the Roberts Road Vineyard in the north end of the Petaluma Gap AVA. This is a blend of Pommard, Dijon 115, and 777 clones.
The Vintage
2018 vintage allowed for picking at the perfect moment at Roberts Road Vineyard. Moderate weather lead to perfectly ripe grapes and as always, the quality work of the Sangiacomo family set the stage for incredible wines to be made!
