2016 The 24

The 24 is a Rhone-style blend from Sonoma County comprised of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre with some Malbec thrown in for fun with a beautiful metal chronograph on the front that pays homage to the Rolex which times the thrilling 24-hour races at Daytona and Le Mans.

This blend features a healthy dose of fresh, fruity Grenache mixed with an almost equal portion of darker, spicier Mourvedre. Syrah holds the backbone of smooth tannin and velvety mouthfeel. But here’s the secret: 9% Malbec makes the whole thing burst with intensity!

The 2016 Vintage

Across Sonoma County, 2016 was mostly an evenly ripening year with a more normal crop size across the board. It was a very welcome change from the previous vintage’s decreased yields and comparatively warmer weather.
