Adobe Road's New Facilities

Early in 2017 Adobe Road Winery closed on the purchase of a property located on the riverfront of Historic Downtown Petaluma. This spectacular location is to become the new home of all Adobe Road Winery operations. The facility will include a state-of-the-art production facility, a welcoming yet luxurious tasting room, a Wine Country visitor center, a commercial kitchen, high-end banquet facilities, a car museum, riverfront decks and much more.

The new building will overlook the beautiful Petaluma River in this quaint, historically-preserved western town. The Petaluma City Council has developed the downtown area into a vibrant and exciting oasis of commerce and community. This lively Wine Country city has hosted a number of classic films such as American Graffiti and Peggy Sue Got Married, to name a few. Strongly inspired by its rivertown heritage, Petaluma has become one of the economic drivers of Sonoma County. The addition of our beautiful new winery project could not have come at a better time in the growth of this amazing city.

It is anticipated that Adobe Road’s new facility will become a premier retreat in this “gateway” to wine country. Adobe Road will become one of the closest winery destinations to San Francisco. Development of the SMART Train station just blocks from the winery structure also provides amazing opportunity. With the new mass transit in place and the proximity to this major metropolitan area, corporations, wedding parties, and groups of touring guests will utilize the winery for large gatherings and festivities.

Currently, the winery is serving its guests at its interim tasting room in the Great Petaluma Mill just around the corner from the future location. With an ever growing family of customers, numerous awards, and the healthy relationships that Adobe Road has built with so many Sonoma and Napa County growers, the New Adobe Road Winery home is destined to make a big splash!

Petaluma leads Sonoma County in economic development

His decision was one example of many in recent years that have made Petaluma the leader in economic development in Sonoma County. It has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the county — 4.1 percent in March — and the second highest median household income, at $75,655 in 2015.
The business activity has rapidly reversed the fortunes of this city of almost 60,000, which was hit with a one-two punch at the turn of the millennium — fallout from the telecom bust of the early 2000s and the real estate crash some six years later. At its low point, commercial office vacancy rates were 40 percent.

Adobe Road Winery setting up shop in downtown Petaluma

"When you’re starting to attract businesses that are relocating from the square in Sonoma — the heart of Sonoma Wine Country — to the heart of Petaluma, that really tells you just how attractive the area is, I think it’s going to be a great amenity for our local economy. It’s going to be a great ambiance for the downtown. It’s exactly what the downtown ought to be building."
